Talk 1: De-mystifying a Single Source of Truth for Network Automation

Jason Edelman, Founder Network to Code

Single Source of Truth (SSoT) is one of those phrases and buzzwords that is hard to wrap your head around. This talk will cover the importance of a data-driven, intent-based, approach to network automation while providing context around what a Single Source of Truth is and is not. This talk will touch upon open source network automation projects such as diffsync, Nautobot, and Nautobot SSoT and how they can be used individually or together to provide a foundation for a Source of Truth strategy for network automation.

Founded in 2016 by Christian Koch and David Temkin, NYNOG is an organization for Networking and Technology Professionals in the New York City Metro and Tri-State Area.

Our goal is to provide educational programs and events for those looking to further network innovation, learn about networking technologies, as well as to meet and build relationships with fellow professionals.

We host multiple small-events throughout the year as opposed one or two big events, giving attendees a more intimate opportunity to learn and network with others.
